John C. Keene, who served as the University Ombudsman at the University of Pennsylvania from 1978 to 1984 and from 2006 to 2010, passed away on March 4, 2022 at the age of 90. The professor emeritus and former chairman of the Department of City and Regional Planning held a variety of administrative roles and was described as “an academic thoroughbred” and “a broad thinker” by his colleagues.
