The UN agency for international public health is hiring a Regional Ombudsman to be based in Manila for a full-time, two-year contract. Among other typical Ombuds duties, the position is expected to maintain active IOA membership and participation in UNARIO meetings.
Applicants must have an advanced university degree or equivalent; at least ten years of relevant work experience (including five years as a mediator, Ombuds, or conflict resolution manager); and excellent knowledge of English with a good working knowledge of French. Excellent. Desirable qualifications include CO-OP accreditation; mediation accreditation; ADR training; previous experience of management in international, intergovernmental organization, government or national public institutions; and intermediate knowledge of other UN languages.
