Job Posting: California's Teacher Retirement System
CalSTRS, the largest teachers' retirement fund in the U.S. (and 11th largest pension fund in the world) is hiring a full-time Ombudsperson. The position serves nearly one million enrolled members, about 1,800 employees, and the general public. The job is based in West Sacramento and is eligible for hybrid work of 2-3 days a week. Earlier this year, the CalSTRS Ombuds program adopted IOA standards.
Qualifications for applicants are somewhat vague, but generally require relevant experience at the senior leadership level. The position pays $113,652 to $137,556 plus executive level benefits. Applications are due by August 8, 2022. (Cal Careers.)
