Job Posting: UN Funds and Programmes, Senegal

The United Nations' global development network (which comprises UNDP / UNFPA / UNICEF/ UNOPS / UN Women) has an opening for an Ombudsman Specialist based in Dakar. The position reports to the Deputy Ombudsman for UN Funds and Programmes, Kentaro Kanyomozi. Frequent travel to UNDP field offices throughout Africa is required. The initial contract will be for two years, with the possibility of an extension.

Applicants must have Master’s degree in alternative dispute resolution or law (Master’s degrees in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Psychology, Counselling and other social sciences may be considered); seven years of relevant professional experience, including three years at the international level in ADR (and some work experience as an Ombuds); and proficiency in French and English (proficiency in Arabic is a very strong asset).
