UC Berkeley Staff Ombuds Adds an Associate

Shatika Ricketts has been hired as an Assistant Ombudsperson in the Staff Ombuds Office at Berkeley. She joins Director, Sara Thacker, and Associate Ombuds, Julia Horvath, and will provide conflict resolution and problem-solving services for non-senate university employees.

For the past seven years, Ricketts had been working as a Dispute Analyst in the banking industry where she provided informal dispute resolution suppor and confidential case management. She is a Registered Mediator for the State of Georgia and completed an internship at Justice for Georgia last summer. Ricketts graduated from Fisk University and earned an MS in Conflict Management & Peacebuilding from Kennesaw State University. (Berkeley Staff Ombuds.)
