The Ivy League university in Ithaca, New York, is hiring an Assistant Ombuds. The part-time position (0.80 FTE) will join the University Ombuds, Bruce Lewenstein, and Linda Falkson, the full-time Director of the office, and replace Tracey Brant, who recently moved to a fulltime position at Dartmouth College. The Cornell Ombuds Office serves faculty, staff, and students, a total population of about 32,000.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and five to seven years’ experience in the field of conflict resolution/ mediation/ negotiation or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred qualifications include: familiarity with university processes and structures; a Master’s degree in conflict resolution; and subject matter expertise in diversity, inclusiveness and belonging.
