Kenya's Office of The Ombudsman (Commission on Administrative Justice) will convene a meeting of African Ombuds and oversight institutions on September 18, 2013. The Colloquium is intended to offer an opportunity to share lessons and insights as well as examin new prospects for administrative justice and human rights in Africa and especially, the future of Ombuds institutions in the continent.
The host, Kenya's Office of The Ombudsman, is a Constitutional Commission with the mandate to investigate any conduct in state affairs or any act or omission in public administration in any sphere of Government and to respond with conciliation mediation and negotiation where appropriate.
