An article in the Economic Times gives employees advice for dealing with toxic bosses. HR expert Adil Malia says the first step is getting a reality check from coworkers. If the problem is not you, but a toxic boss, she advises getting human resources involved.
After that:
- Consult the Ombuds;
- Keep a professional attitude and focus on your work;
- Avoid gossip;
- Continue respecting your manager, be personable;
- Never publicly react or confront the toxic boss’s insinuations; and
- Develop your Plan B.
The last resort, according to Malia is approaching the CEO. (Economic Times.)
