Harris Health System Launches Ombuds Program

Jai McBride-Calloway has been named the inaugural Ombuds for the public healthcare system for Harris County, Texas. As the Managing Ombuds Director, she will serve as a resource for over 7,000 HHS employees across three hospitals and affiliated clinics. She moves into the position after serving as Director of Diversity and Inclusion for the past year. 

McBride brings significant Ombuds experience to the role. She began as an Ombuds for Halliburton in 2018 and has since served as Ombuds for Iowa State University, CVS, and Cambridge Innovation Center. She has served as Co-Chair of IOA's Committee on Diversity Equity Inclusion & Belonging and Vice Chair of Marketing for the ABA Dispute Resolution Section. She graduated from the University of New Mexico, and earned an MS at Texas Southern University, a JD at South Texas College of Law Houston, and MDR at Pepperdine University. (LinkedIn.)
