Job Re-Posting: U.S. Department of Energy

The department responsible for U.S. energy and nuclear safety policies has reopened its search for an Associate Ombudsman. In July, the initial search was cut short as the number of applicants quickly reached capacity. The revised search has no cap and will be open longer. The Associate Ombudsman will report to Director Tonya Mackey and join two experienced Ombuds: Lexi Wolfe and Jeff Anderson. The job is remote and may be based anywhere in the U.S. Some travel is required.

The position is open only to Status Candidates. Applicants must have experience with ADR techniques such as mediation, facilitation, and conflict coaching, experience delivering training, and experience collaborating with staff, supervisors/managers, and other supporting resource programs to resolve complex and sensitive workplace conflicts. The position is open only to U.S. citizens and eligible candidates for this position must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Level clearance. The GS-14/15 position pays $116,393 to $177,978 per year. Applications are due by August 16, 2023. (USA Jobs.)
