St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Debuts Ombuds Program

The pediatric treatment and research facility in Memphis, Tennessee, has established an Ombuds Team for its 5,000 employees. St. Jude is contracting with MWI, which has three experienced Ombuds assigned to the team: Dina Eisenberg; Michael Stephens; and Ellen Reardon. They will practice to IOA standards as outlined by a charter signed by the hospital's President and CEO. 

All three of the Ombuds Team have significant Ombuds credentials. Eisenberg has served as the Ombuds in a wide variety of settings, including Bank of America, Berklee College of Music, and Twitter. Stephens has worked as an Ombuds in both corporate and academic settings, including at Merck, Amherst College, and Smith College. Reardon has been the Ombuds for the Salk Institute for Biological Studies and a Healthcare Ombuds Mediator for Kaiser Permanente and also has experience as a health care practitioner.
