Oakland University Selects Ombuds

Stephanie J. Lee has been named the new Ombudsperson for the public research university in Oakland County, Michigan. (In 1970, Kenneth Coffman was the inaugural Ombudsman at OU and served several years in the role; it appears that the Ombuds program was then defunct for several decades.) Lee starts today and will establish a program to serve faculty, staff, and 16,000 students across two, suburban campuses.

Lee has worked at Oakland for over three decades, most recently as Administrative Associate in the Office of the Provost. Lee has also held a wide variety of administrative and leadership positions at the university. She earned both her Bachelor's and Doctorate at Oakland University and, in interim, an MA from Central Michigan University. (OU Official; Focus: Oakland.)
