Federal Bureau of Investigation Appoints New Ombuds

FBI Director Robert Mueller has named Monique A. Bookstein as Chief Ombuds for the Bureau. Bookstein is a 22-year veteran of the FBI and took office in August 2010.

Bookstein has held a variety of operations and professional staff positions within the Records Management, Laboratory, and Counterterrorism Divisions, as well as the Office of Public and Congressional Affairs and the Office of the General Counsel. She joined the FBI Ombuds Office in September 2009 as an Associate Ombuds and has served as Acting Ombudsman since December 2009. Bookstein graduated from the University of Maryland and is a member of IOA. (FBI Executives.)
