Extending the powerful negotiation theories of Richard Walton and Robert McKersie into conflict management territory has been a significant source of joy to me as an organizational ombuds — I am grateful for learning a theory that so helpfully guided practice. I believe these matters are important in today's workplace, and that the implications extend to many other parts of society.(Negotiation Journal 31:4.)
