The fifth largest University of California campus is hiring a Campus Ombuds and Director of its Office of the Ombuds. The full-time position manages and directs an office with three other staff members which serves about 25,000 students, faculty, and staff.
The search will fill the position held by Kirsi Aulin who moved to a similar position at the University of Colorado. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience/training as an Ombuds or in dispute resolution, and certification as an Organizational Ombuds Practitioner (CO-OP) or other professional and licensure/certification. An advanced degree and higher ed experience are preferred. For priority consideration, applications should be submitted by January 24, 2016. No salary indicated. (UCSB Jobs, Job #20160005.)
