MIT Adds an Experienced Ombuds

Judi Segall has joined the Ombuds Office at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, filling the position vacated by the retirement of Mary Rowe.  For the past 17 years, Segall has been the Ombudsman at Stony Brook University.  In addition, she has served as president of the three professional bodies for Organizational Ombuds: the University and College Ombuds Association (1999-2001), The Ombudsman Association (2001-2005), and as the International Ombudsman Association (2005-2006).

Segall earned a MS in Social Work from Stony Brook University.  She has completed advanced certification mediation training from the Center for Mediation in Law and is a Certified Organizational Ombudsman Practitioner.  At MIT, Segall joins Toni Robinson, who continues in her role as the other Ombuds for the campus.  (MIT News; MIT Ombuds; Stony Brook Ombuds; The Tech Online.)
