McGill University has named Chemical Engineering Professor Dimitrios Berk as its next Ombudsperson for Students. Berk says that he's looking forward to the work. “It’s a people-oriented position, so I think it’s a different challenge from what we have in Engineering.” Berk started his half-time appointment on September 2 and replaced Spencer Boudreau, who completed a five-year term.
Berk has been a member of the McGill faculty for three decades and has held a variety of administrative positions. He earned his PhD at the University of Calgary. (McGill Reporter.)
