As expected, the private liberal arts college in Ohio has opened a search for its next Ombuds. The full-time position (with "significant commitments on nights and weekends"!) reports to the Office of the President and serves students, faculty and staff -- a population of almost 5,000.
In addition to Ombuds services, the position will manage the Yeworkwha Belachew Center for Dialogue, which was renamed recently in honor of the College's first Ombuds.
Applicants must have bachelor’s degree. An advanced degree, Ombuds experience in higher education, and familiarity with Oberlin are all preferred. No salary or application deadline indicated. (Jobs at Oberlin.)

Any idea who they hired for this or if they did? Posted twice, now filled?
ReplyDeleteI think the position is still unfilled.
