Wake Tech Opens Campus Ombuds Office

Wake Technical Community College, a community college outside Raleigh, North Carolina has appointed Jerry Nuesell to serve as its first Ombuds. He practices to IOA standards and serves over 70,000 faculty, staff, and students. Nuesell had been the college's Title III Project Director since 2015. 

Nuesell has two decades of experience as a psychologist and administrator at New York City’s largest outpatient mental health facility. In 2012, he became the Dean of Students at William Peace University. He graduated from New York University, and earned an MSEd from Fordham University and a PhD from the City University of New York. Nuesell is also a trained mediator. According to his profile, Nuesell has completed 12 marathons and holds a third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. (Wake Tech Ombuds.)
