Gettysburg College Unveils Ombuds Program
The private liberal arts college in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania has appointed Kathryn Rhett as its first Ombuds. She will serve the college's 1,000 faculty and staff on a part-time basis. A charter dated December 7, 2019, provides that Rhett will practice to IOA standards.
Rhett has been a member of the Gettysburg faculty since 1997 and is currently Chair of the English Department. In addition, she teaches at Queens University of Charlotte. Rhett graduated from and earned a MA from Johns Hopkins University, and also earned an MFA at the University of Iowa. (Gettysburg Ombuds.)
