IOA Seeks Nominations for 2021 Board of Directors

The International Ombudsman Association is seeking nominations for Directors who will serve a three-year term starting at the end of March 2021. Six directors have terms that expire: Steve Prevaux, CO-OP (Board VP); Roy Baroff, CO-OPSuzanne Diviney, CO-OPJessica Kuchta-Miller, CO-OPSana Manjeshwar, CO-OP; and Mauricio (Reese) Ramos, CO-OP.

Nominees must meet the following criteria:
  • Member or Retired Member of the Association, and
  • At least one of the following sets of qualifications:
    • Currently hold active status as a Certified Organizational Ombudsman Practitioner and three years of organizational ombudsman work experience and three years of Association membership immediately prior to assuming office; OR
    • Completion of the IOA course Foundations of Organizational Ombudsman Practice and five years of organizational ombudsman work experience and three years of Association membership immediately prior to assuming office; OR
    • Seven or more years of organizational ombudsman work experience and three years of Association membership immediately prior to assuming office.
Here is the schedule for the board election:
November 11, 2020 – Call for Nominations close
December 10, 2020 – Board votes on a slate of candidates proposed by the Nominating & Governance Committee
December 22, 2020 – Election period opens 
January 29, 2021 – Election period closes
February 2021 – Election results announced to IOA members
March 2021 – New Board members will begin their term following the IOA Annual Business Meeting
