Ombuds Offices Flourish in Florida

As Ombuds gather in Miami for IOA's eighth annual conference, many won't have far to travel as Florida is home to an abundance of Ombuds Offices.  One big reason is a state law enacted in 2002 that requires public colleges and universities to have a student Ombuds office that reports to the campus president. (Fla. Stat. § 1006.51.)
