UC Davis Names Ombuds Office Director

Lauren Bloom has been promoted to Director of the Ombuds Office at the University of California Davis. Bloom had been an Associate Ombuds for the past two years. She will oversee and office that includes two Associate Ombuds, Dana Hinojosa (who served as the Interim Director during the search) and Lindsey Dunning, and an Assistant Ombuds, Jenny Xia.

Before coming to Davis, Bloom was an Associate Ombuds at the UC Berkeley Staff Ombuds Office. Bloom graduated from theUniversity of Wisconsin-Madisonand earned an MA in sociology and an MS in social work from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a psychotherapist and holds the CO-OP designation.  (UC Davis News.)
