UConn Health Recruits Experienced Ombuds

Donna Douglass Williams has been selected as the first Ombuds for the University of Connecticut health system. She will provide services to faculty, students, trainees, and staff affiliated with a teaching hospital, the UConn School of Medicine, School of Dental Medicine, and Graduate School. Williams will be based in Farmington and coordinate with the UConn Ombuds in Storrs, Jim Wohl.

Williams has been the Ombuds for several organizations, most recently as the first Ombuds for the Green Climate Fund. She has been the the Director of the Ombuds Program at MD Anderson Cancer Center, and also the Ombuds for the World Health Organization and Georgia State University. She served five years on the IOA Board (including a term as Secretary) and has been a frequent speaker at conferences and other events. She is an attorney and Certified Organizational Ombudsman Practitioner. (LinkedIn.)
