The small, private, coeducational liberal arts college in Greenville, South Carolina has appointed Victoria Turgeon and A. Joseph Pollard to serve as its first Faculty Ombudspersons. They practice to IOA standards and provide services to 240 faculty (the College enrolls about 2,700 undergraduates).
Turgeon is a Professor of Biology. She graduated from Randolph-Macon Woman's College and earned a PhD in neurobiology & anatomy at Wake Forest University. Pollard is also a Professor of Biology. He earned a BS at Duke University and PhD at Cambridge. (Furman Ombuds; Turgeon Bio; Pollard Bio.)
