The public university in Pullman has opened a search for a University Ombudsman. The part-time position will succeed Debbie Lee and join Max Kirk and Tena Old in an office that serves nearly 40,000 WSU stakeholders, particularly administrative professionals and classified staff.
Applicants must have a at least four years of higher education experience and, preferably, a higher degree and three years experience with formal or informal dispute resolution, conflict resolution, mediation or negotiation processes. Although the position is not limited to internal candidates, applicants should have five years of experience at Washington State University working with employees, students and faculty.
