Job Posting: University of the Pacific School of Dentistry

The UOP Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco is hiring a full-time Ombuds. The primary focus of the position is to "facilitate the resolution of patient complaints involving treatment, clinic operations, ethics, and/or finances."  It appears that this is a new position.

Applicants must have at least ten years of management experience in a dental or medical setting and five years of patient relations/ombudsman experience in a healthcare or similar setting, in addition to a master's degree.  Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations (including HIPAA) and clinical database systems and familiarity with accreditation standards helpful, and dental terminology and treatment, equipment, and supplies are desirable.   1. This doesn't seem to belong on the Ombuds Blog. This position isn't an Organizational Ombuds, it's just patient relations.
