Martin Craighead, President and CEO of Baker Hughes, has announced Melanie Lewis will lead the company’s new Organizational Ombuds Office (known as the “o3”) based in Houston. Lewis, who started earlier this week, will assume responsibility for final preparations prior to the office’s September launch.
Explaining that Lewis will report directly to him and will receive
on-going organizational guidance from the Ombuds Governance Committee,
Craighead said, "I am confident Melanie will help us successfully launch
our Organizational Ombuds Office." Lewis previously was the Director of Coca-Cola Enterprises’ Solutions Program, a dispute resolution program and Ombuds office. She graduated from Tulane University, earned her MBA from Kennesaw State University, and is completing a JD at the South Texas College of Law in Houston. (LinkedIn.)
The appointments of other two Ombuds positions being filled by Baker Hughes—an Ombuds and the o3 Connection Specialist—have not been announced. Pacifica Human Communications, LLC (John Zinsser and Andrea Schenk) served as design consultants for the new program and search.
