Texas Ombuds to Host Chuck Howard at November Meeting

The author of The Organizational Ombudsman: Origins, Roles and Operations—A Legal Guide will be the guest speaker at the next Ombuds of Texas meeting. Howard will talk about the issues facing Ombuds today. The meeting takes place at Department of State Health Services in Austin on November 10, 2010.

Howard has previously spoken at the IOA 2010 conference and a meeting of the East Coast Ombuds Group. (Ombuds of Texas Meeting Agenda and Calendar.)

Organizational Ombuds

Organizational Ombuds serve as a confidential, independent, neutral and informal dispute resolution resource for a specific entity. They are accessible to a defined population and can advocate for fairness. These unique characteristics distinguish Organizational Ombuds from Classical Ombuds, mediators, arbitrators, and other alternative dispute resolution professionals.
