Altinbas University Opens Ombuds Office

The young non-profit university in Istanbul, Turkey (Altınbaş Üniversitesi, formerly known as Istanbul Kemerburgaz University), has appointed Gizem Güray as its first Student Ombudsman. Guray serves a student population of about 8,000 following standards that are similar to IOA best practices.

Guray has worked at Altinbas for the past five years in a variety of administrative roles and became the Ombuds in September 2019. She completed her studies at İstanbul Üniversitesi and earned a certificate in Advanced Academic English from Mount Ida College. (Altinbas University Ombuds; LinkedIn.)
