Morán has been raising her children for the past five years, while volunteering as a community organizer and activist. Currently, she is an appointed member of the Maryland Advisory Council of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and a board member of the Maryland/Washington DC Chapter of Hands and Voices, a national advocacy organization for parents with deaf and hard of hearing children. She worked at Gallaudet previously in administrative positions for seven years. Morán graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology and earned an MA at Americna University. She also has certificates in diversity, equity, and inclusion from Northwestern University and Cornell University. (LinkedIn.)
SooHyun Tak has worked at Gallaudet since 2013 and is currently also a Clinical Mental Health Counseling in he Department of Counseling faculty member, preparing students to be license-eligible multiculturally competent counselors. Prior to that she worked for over two decades advocating for and counseling deaf, hard of hearing, and deafblind individuals in a range of settings. Tak earned a Master's at Gallaudet.
