The FBI is seeking its next Supervisory Ombudsman. The position provides leadership and oversight of the FBI Ombudsman Office personnel as well as mentors and develops staff. The Bureau conducted a search for this position in February 2022 after the departure of Monique A. Bookstein (who led the office for 12 years and became the Ombuds for the Prince William County Public Schools in 2021), but it is not clear whether a permanent Supervisory Ombudsman was selected.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens and consent to a complete background investigation, urinalysis, and polygraph. Ombuds or related ADR experience are required. At least one year of supervisory experience at the GS-14 or higher, and experience in government personnel policies, rules, and regulations are preferred. The GS-15 job pays $155,750 to $183,500 per year and applications are due by August 10, 2023. (FBI Jobs, via Indeed.)
