Job Posting: Howard University

The private university in Washington, D.C. is seeking its first Faculty Ombudsperson, a full-time position. Previously, Howard conducted similar searches in 2016 and 2018 but did not result in an appointment. The faculty handbook has included reference to a Faculty Ombuds Office since 2019 and stipulates that the position will be located within the Office of the President.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s in relevant field and five years or more of professional experiences in dispute resolution. An advanced degree is preferred. According to the posting, applicants also should be a member of IOA. No application deadline or salary indicated. (Howard Careers, via HigherEdJobs; HU Faculty Handbook.)
