University of Tennessee Knoxville Adds an Ombuds

Nellie Haddad has been hired as the next Associate Ombudsperson, filling a position recently vacated by Brooke Wichmann. Haddad will report to the Campus Ombudsperson, Lisa Yamagata-Lynch, and assist in providing Ombuds services to over 18,000 stakeholder, including faculty, staff, and graduate students at the large, land-grant university.

Haddad comes to the position from the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, where she had been a Senior Associate Ombuds for one year. Prior to that, she was the Ombuds for the University of Wyoming since October 2022, where she expanding the Ombuds' scope of service and realigned its reporting line. (UTK Ombuds; LinkedIn.)

  3. Congratulations! Both on going to Knoxville and escaping Washington/NOVA. It is sad, though, to see a strong office hollowed out.
