UTK is seeking its next Associate (or Assistant) Ombudsperson. The search will fill a position recently vacated by Brooke Wichmann, who is the inaugural Ombuds for American InterContinental University. The full-time position reports to Campus Ombudsperson, Lisa Yamagata-Lynch, and serves over 18,000 stakeholder, including faculty, staff, and graduate students. The expected start date is early fall 2025.

Applicants must have Bachelor's degree with at least eight years or experience or a Master's degree with at least four years of experience. Higher levels of education and experience are sought for the Assistant Ombuds position. Organizational Ombuds

Organizational Ombuds serve as a confidential, independent, neutral and informal dispute resolution resource for a specific entity. They are accessible to a defined population and can advocate for fairness.
