The Global Fund and Gavi Select Next Ombuds

Rahele Stoessel Malanca has been appointed the new Ombuds for The Global Fund and Gavi, the world’s largest public-private health partnerships that are funding vaccines and diseases prevention in low-income countries. Based at the joint offices in Geneva, Malanca will provide Ombuds services to employees and contractors worldwide following IOA standards.

Malanca brings with her more than two decades of experience in conflict resolution, mediation training, and employee support in international organizations. Most recently, she was the Ombuds for the World Intellectual Property Organization for three years. She also served as Staff Counsellor at The Global Fund and as a learning and development consultant with WHO, ILO, and IOM. Malanca graduated from Bryn Mawr College, and earned an MPhil at the University of Glasgow and a postgraduate diploma from the University of Geneva. (LinkedIn.)
