Emory University Selects Next Ombuds

Angela Dash has been hired as the next Ombudsperson for the major private research university in Atlanta. She will report to Lynell Cadray, the University Ombudsperson and Senior Advisor to the President, who established the position in October 2019. 

Dash brings nearly 25 years of conflict management and leadership experience to Emory. She has been the inaugural Ombuds for Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine since 2022. She also established the Office of the Ombuds at Northeast Ohio Medical University in 2014. Dash has been an ADR Advisor for the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency and a professional coach with Bravely. Dash is an active volunteer with IOA, frequent speaker at ADR events, and former adjunct faculty member for NYU’s coaching program. She graduated from Spelman College, and earned an MPA at Troy State University and a PhD in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from Nova Southeastern University. She is a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation in addition to other professional certifications. (Emory News Center.)
