Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine Announces First Ombuds

Angela Dash has been appointed the inaugural Ombuds Officer for the private medical school in Pasadena, California. In this new, part-time role, Dash will establish a program to provide services to students, faculty, and staff following IOA best practices. 

Dash brings over 20 years of Ombuds and leadership to KPSOM. She established the Office of the Ombuds at Northeast Ohio Medical University in 2014 and served in that role until last year. For the past four years, she has been an Alternative Dispute Resolution Advisor for the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency and a professional coach with Bravely. Dash is an active volunteer with IOA, frequent speaker at ADR events, part-time faculty member for NYU. She graduated from Spelman College and earned an MPA at Troy State University and a PhD in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from Nova Southeastern University. (LinkedIn.)
