IOA Announces New Journal Editors

Laura Armstrong and Brent Epperson have been appointed the new editors of the Journal of the International Ombuds Association, the profession’s peer-reviewed journal. They take over from Shannon Lynn Burton, who led the publication for a decade.

Armstrong and Epperson are colleagues and faculty member at the Saint Paul University in Ottawa, Canada: Armstrong in the School of Counselling, Psychotherapy and Spirituality and Epperson in the School of Conflict Studies. Armstrong's research has embraced mental health, conflict coaching, program development, and, more recently, Ombuds practice. She has authored more than 75 articles, books, chapters, workshops, and conference publications. She has been a speaker at CIDR, ENOHE, and IOA conferences.

Epperson has worked as an Ombuds for more than a decade in a range of setting, including higher education, professional associations, and international organizations. His scholarship has focused on Ombuds practice, public administration and policy, and fairness in institutional governance. (IOA Blog.)
