The Association of Canadian College and University Ombudspersons announced that its 29th annual conference will be hosted by the University of Alberta in the city of Edmonton on June 6-8, 2012. The event, titled “Campus Ombudsing: Current Challenges and Successes,” will examine the issues facing Ombuds within the current socio-economic climate of postsecondary institutions.
Attendees will discuss successes achieved in ensuring a commitment to equity and fairness. Organizers hope to engage Ombuds to share their points of view, their skills and their best practices within the Ombuds-world and to focus on the value that Ombuds bring to educational institutions.
