Curaçao Ombudsman to Host International Conference

The Office of the Ombudsman of Curaçao and the Caribbean International University will convene the Second Curaçao International Ombudsman Conference on June 4 to 8, 2012. The conference is sponsored also by the Institute of Latin-American Ombudsman and the Office of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Argentina, Province Santa Fé. 


Leading Classical Ombuds will focus on how to conduct investigations under difficult and challenging circumstances. Expected speakers include: Nilda Arduin, Ombudsman of St. Martin; Alex Brenninkmeijer, National Ombudsman of the Netherlands; Arlene Brock, Ombudsman for Bermuda; Ontario Ombudsman André Marin; and the President of the National Human Rights Commission, Raúl Plascencia Villanueva.
