Northeastern Illinois University Debuts Ombuds Office

The public state university in North Park, Chicago, has appointed Bradley R. Ginn as its first full-time, Employee Ombuds.  Ginn reports to the University President and serves as a confidential, informal, impartial, and independent resource for about 2,500 employees. 


Ginn has worked in conflict resolution for nearly two decades.  Most recently, he has mediated workplace disputes for the U.S. Postal Service as part of its EEO REDRESS Program, the Illinois Department of Human Rights, EEOC, FDIC, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the U.S. Social Security Administration. From 1997 to 2004, Ginn served as Executive Director of the Center for Conflict Resolution, a not-for-profit provider of mediation services and conflict management and mediation training. He also taught ADR as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Chicago-Kent College of Law from 1996 through 2002. Ginn graduated from the University of Michigan and earned a JD from Wayne State University Law School.  (NEIU Ombuds.)
