The United Nations' global development network has opened a search for a Conflict Resolution On-Call Expert. The position reports to the Office of the Ombudsman for UN Funds and Programmes and provides Ombuds and dispute resolution services to staff members and non-staff personnel of the UN Funds and Programmes (including UNDP, UNFPA, UNICEF, UNOPS and UN Women). The position is based "home based" for a one-year contract starting January 9, 2017.
Applicants must have an advanced university degree (ADR, administration, HR management, law, social sciences or related area) or the equivalent relevant experience; seven years of progressively responsible experience including five at the international level; experience in conflict management; and fluency in English. Previous experience with the UN system and knowledge of French and/or Spanish are preferred. Applications are due December 31, 2016. (UNDP Jobs.)
