LSU has opened a search for an Ombudsperson to restart its shuttered office. The public university in Baton Rouge had an Ombuds program from 2006 through 2011, when it was closed due to budget cuts. The LSU assists nearly 40,0000 students, faculty, staff, and administrators in dispute resolution through informal means, which includes consulting, negotiation, and mediation.
The position reports to LSU's General Counsel, which may explain why applicants must have a JD and five years of legal experience. No salary or application deadline indicated. (LSU Jobs.)
