Stockton University Opens Ombuds Office

The public university near Atlantic City, New Jersey has named Rahmaan Simpkins as its first Ombuds Officer. He practices to IOA standards and serves faculty, staff, and 9,000 students. He was appointed Interim Assistant Vice President for Organizational Effectiveness & Ombuds Officer in February 2018. 

Simpkins previously was Director of Organizational Effectiveness at the College of New Jersey. His career includes several director level HR roles including the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, the New Jersey Higher Education Student Assistance Authority, Merck, and Prudential Financial. He graduated from Rutgers College and is also a Certified DDI Trainer and Special Civil Mediator in the State of New Jersey. (Stockton Ombuds; LinkedIn.)
