TAK MING University Creates Ombuds Program
The young, independent, secular college in Hong Kong has appointed Waged Jafer for its 1,000 students, faculty, and staff. On his office website, she explains: "My role is to provide advice and assistance through an independent, impartial and strictly confidential process to ensure all members are able to pursue a just and fair solutions to disputes." Jafer also has served as the Ombuds for Quest University in Squamish, BC since April 2018.
Jafer has worked in higher ed since 2011 in in various roles, including as a conflict management consultant and university instructor. She graduated from Carleton University and earned a Master's in Conflict Studies at the University of Ottawa. She is completing a PhD at the University of British Columbia. ReplyDeleteThis information is incorrect. There has been some scam with some websites that use information from other universities and post it as their own. This is the case with this university.
