The public university in Pensacola has revived its Student Ombuds Office, with the appointment of two interim Ombuds: Robin Jones and Randolph Scott. All public universities in Florida are required to have an Ombuds. At UWF, the dean of students office has also provided Ombuds services. The two interim Ombuds also have other roles on campus.
Robin Jones has worked at UWF for the past decade and is currently the Assistant Director for Retention. She also earned her MEd from the University of West Florida. For the past two years, Randolph Scott has been the Assistant Director of International Programs at UWF. His professional background includes work in international education in France, Japan, and the U.S. He graduated from Centre College and earned an MA at the University of Kentucky.
