Oklahoma State University Appoints Emeritus Faculty as Ombuds

Emeritus faculty member Carol Jones has been named the Ombuds Officer for the land-grant university in Stillwater. She follows Sue Williams, another insider who served in the role for the past five years. Jones will serve faculty, staff, and students across three OSU campuses.

Jones joined the faculty at OSU in 2002 and was a professor of biosystems and agricultural engineering. Senior VP for Executive Affairs Kyle Wray said Jones is an ideal fit for the position. “She has the background and personality to be an extremely effective mediator, and her decades of experience — both in academia and industry — reflect not only her experience and skill but her lasting commitment to this institution.” (OK State News.)
