The private, Jesuit university in Missouri has appointed Lisa Israel as its first Interim Ombuds. For the past five years, Israel has been SLU's Medical School Ombudsperson, serving students, residents, and faculty. Details about the Faculty Ombuds pilot, including the duration, have not been published.
Israel graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and earned a master’s degree in higher education administration from Loyola University Chicago. Before joining SLU in 2009, she spent five years at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. (SLU News.)
