Utah Valley University to Pilot Faculty Ombuds Program

The public university in Orem has opened an internal search for its first Faculty Ombuds. Located within UVU's Academic Affairs, the new program will serve nearly 3,000 faculty members, beginning next semester. (The search will not fill the Student Ombuds position recently vacated by the inaugural, Talatou Abdoulaye, who recently moved to the public school system in Eugene, Oregon.)

UVU is hoping to recruit a full-time tenured professor, familiar with IOA standards, and ADR training for the role. (UVU Faculty Newsletter.)
